Stakeholder Mapping

Stakeholder mapping takes place at the beginning of a project, which would be situated in Stage One of the Building with Mission playbook. Building housing requires the input and participation of many diverse stakeholders, those that you may know well and work with regularly and those that you may not be accustomed to working closely with. Further, every project decision you make should take your stakeholders into account. Your organization will make better decisions if they’re based on consensus about which stakeholders are your highest priorities, and why.

In May 2021, a team of five staff from St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre (St. Joseph’s) participated in a stakeholder mapping exercise led by Overlap Associates as part of the Building with Mission project. Learn more.
